This most serious of communications is directed to anyone who cares about the South. This would include, but certainly not limited to members of UDC,SCV, MOS&B,OCR, LoS, and countless other Southern Heritage groups. It is also directed to every Southron Patriot out their flying solo by the seat of their britches who actually gives a damn as to what has happened to the South over the past 140 years. It wasn't but a week ago that I released a small mailing about the newest and youngest member of Camp#1802, Jacob Swain. The skinny of the report, was that under his own initiative, he purchased materials, built small white grave crosses, bought flowers and Confederate flags, and burnt up several tanks of fuel driving all over Southern Illinois, cleaning and decorating forgotten Confederate graves. Certainly a most honorable action. The local press in his area even picked up the story (mostly out of curiosity), and I suppose out of Jacob's involvement in politics. I believe at the age of 18 he is the youngest precinct committee man in the state of Illinois. Well yesterday, on his own again Jacob took his pride in his Confederate heritage, about a dozen levels higher, than his cemetery duty. He posted an article asking for the return of captured Confederate flags held hostage by the State in Springfield. That article, and the horrendous responces directed back at this fine young outstanding American citizen can be found at the below link. I would ask that not only do you read Jacob's posting but the vicious, threatening replies he recieved on the message board. I can vouch the ones that are posted are not nearly as threatening as the ones he recieved personally. (Some of these, I have been made privy to from Jacob himself.) This is not only a Heritage violation, it is a blatant attack upon the character of this young man who is a role model not only for today's youth, but for all Americans as well. I would ask, that all reading this, if you haven't the time to reply to those who have not only personally attacked Jacob, but have have attacked the South as a whole with their remarks, you would at least find the time to e-mail Jacob, and encourage him in his endeavors. I have not personally seen a young man this brave and dedicated, since Clive' a 16 year old Mayan who guided me through Honduras in the mid 80's, at the height of the "death sqauds" rule in that war zone that altered my life forever. Most of ya'll know me by reputation if not personally. I believe my sincerity and dedication to the Southron and Native Causes for so many years at the least warrants my appeal to ya'll to at least acknowledge this young mans stance for the South and her Glory. I stand dwarfed in the shadow of this 18 year old, and I would take a bullet for him. He is a perfect representation of so many like him who gave their all for the Cause 1861-65. If you are a Southron webmaster, please tell his story. I would ask those individuals reading, if ya have a list of friends and compatriots with interest would please fwd this on as well.
