At age 13, Mayme Rachel Warren is no stranger to activism. Her daddy T. has been an activist for over 30 years, and her mother Pamela has been an activist for nearly 15 years. Mayme was but weeks old in 1990, when her parents took turns carrying her and protest signs, in front of the Mayor of Nashville Tn home. All this in front of tv cameras from all three major networks, at one of the largest American Indian demonstrations ever held in Tennessee. It was this early foundation in pride and heritage , and the homeschooling in the formative years of the truth that has lead this young girl to wage her own campaigns of heritage defense and truth in history in the public schools she has attended since age 6. Though there are many Confederate ancestors in Mayme's lineage on both sides of her linage, she holds extreme pride, in her GGG grandfather Robinson, who left the safety and comfort of Indiana, to enlist in the 10th Ky. Partisian Rangers, as well as her Mommas GG grandfather Dees who left Jefferson county Illinois. to serve Confederate forces in Missoura. If you factor in the fact that several of her Indian ancestors rode for the Confederacy, you have a teenager whose life is steeped with much pride and honor of the Confederate Gray. Last year Mayme came into her own realm as young activist, by wearing Dixie Outfitters T shirts to school, as well as her ever present battleflag bandana, which she wore near daily, including while participating on the girls track team. She gave several book reports over the course of 2003, one on Marse Robert E Lee........entiled the Greatest General of all time, one report on Stonewall Jackson, and a report on Lincoln in which she called him "The Benedict Arnold of the South", making much ado about him having been born in the South and turning traitor, as well as violating the constitution of the Founding Fathers. She went on to say in class, that she thought it a "most terrible circumstance that President Washington had to share a holiday with Ape Lincoln" She also won acclaim in Southron circles for playing the first notes of Dixie on her flute at the last school music recital of last year.........at the conclusion of a pro Union Patriotic concert. In 2004 Mayme continues to wear Dixie Outfitters clothing to school , she has spoken on the REAL GA. flag issue in history class, as well as the CSA Partisians or Border Ruffians if you will. She is a mostly A student with the occassional B, she is well liked by her teachers and peers. She is 1st chair flute in the school band, she plays fife, piano, drums, and is currently learning the fiddle, which was given to her by Georgia musician Bobby Mountain just last month. Mayme over the course of the past two years has attended over 20 SCV, UDC, and OCR memorial services. She has performed music at most of these. Mayme has recieved awards from the Illinois Division SCV for her dedication and display of pride and honor in her Confederate ancestors. She is the youngest member of the Border Ruffian Band, and besides playing in the school band, BR band, she performs flute and piano with her Grandma Mc Williams (T's Momma) on a regular basis at local nursing homes, and in period attire. Mayme is a member of the OCR and is currently applying for membership in the CoC, she also a girl scout, and a pretty fair visual artist, spending much of her time sketching as well as painting with water colors and acrylics. What little free time Mayme has is spent playing with her huge Confederate Gray cat Smokey, or her two Rat Terriers Missy and Rudy. Mayme is very proud of her association with Camp 2022, and has asked her parents if this years family vacation couldn't be planned around a Georgia flaggin. |
