Thurs 25 Mar 2004 At the Memorial Baptist Church, Jesup GA

Tonight's Meeting was held in the Memorial Baptist Church. 24 members and guest were present.

Chaplain Tom opened the meeting with a Prayer and Rev. Thompson closed the Meeting with a prayer

At Tonights Meeting we recognized Compatriot Rev. Thompson, Stephen Thompson, and Richard Bailey and inducted them into the Camp

 
Commander Sam Lyons read the charge that Lt Gen Stephen Dill Lee gave on July 1, 1896, to a group of sons of Confederate veterans who had gathered at Richmond to form a group to preserve the memory and valor of the Confederate soldier. He told the group it was their duty to present the true history of the South to future generations. This group, chartered as the Sons of Confederate Veterans

Commander Lyons also told those present about a Proclamation to proclaim April 2004 as "Confederate History and Heritage Month" in Brantley County and was accepted and signed by the Brantley County Board of Commissioners on March 24th 2004
