14 Supporters of the old state flag assembled for what was to be their third protest at the Terry Johnson farm. The first 2 being Terry Johnson's campaign fund raiser last spring, the Cobb Democratic 2002 BBQ, and now the 2003 BBQ. The Johnson farm is located alongside Austell road, and their party about 75 feet from the sidewalk. Flaggers assembled on the sidewalk and cut loose for 3 hours of Bull horn hell.
Guy Drexinger (Cobb Democratic party Chairman) immediately upon the flaggers arrival came running down the driveway screaming he was going to call the police. The flaggers response was go ahead. It seems the flaggers encourage the calling of the law, so that they can come out quickly, determine NO law is being broken, and the demonstration can begin again in earnest. And that is exactly what happened. The Cobb County police arrived, talked to Guy Drexinger, Terry Johnson campaign and event coordinator Gerald Johnson, talked briefly with the flaggers, then left. Then the flaggers really gave em hell after the police left. Thats when it turned NASTY!
Again, according to the flaggers ONLY, we never got a statement from Guy Drexinger, one of the Cobb Democratic party members exited the farm in a big truck pulling a trailer with patio furniture on it they had been using, turned hard right out of the driveway, and violently drove his vehicle upon the sidewalk where the flaggers were legally protesting and was deemed legal by the Cobb police only minutes before. The flaggers had to scatter like bowling pins. The man got out of his truck, got into a very verbal and heated conversation with 2 of the protesters, with one flagger screaming, "go ahead" hit me, to the cheers of and encouragement of members of the democratic party. The man then jumped back into this truck, thru into reverse, almost hitting 2 flaggers trying to jump out of the way, knocking them off balance and down and sped off. Fortunately the protesters were not injured, but could have been seriously hurt by the VERY stupid actions of this man who had better be glad the police had NOT passed by when this happened. It is my understanding his tag # was gotten and turned into the police for reckless endangerment, attempted manslaughter and vehicular homicide.
Editors note: It would appear to me that the best way to deal with protesters, especially after the police have been called, is to IGNORE them. Trying to run them down with a motor vehicle, and to be encouraged by the leadership and members of the Cobb Democratic party is ludicrous and stupid on the highest level.

In this pix you see where the Cobb democratic party member had exited out of the driveway and violently were told, drove his vehicle upon the sidewalk where the flaggers were legally protesting.
The cobb democratic member is wearing the red shirt and white hat and is arguing with Tim Pilgrim. Note sidewalk blocked where flaggers were previously protesting and approved by the Cobb County police.
The white car attempting to exit was part of Alisha Thomas's entourage. Earlier Guy Drexinger was complaining to the police that the flaggers presence was blocking peoples ability to se how to get out of the driveway. In this pix it was clearly blocked by one of their own.

Editors NOTE: I agree these pictures are NOT that great, but it is clear that a Cobb Democratic party member drove his truck upon the sidewalk after exiting the Terry Johnson farm in an attempt hit the flaggers and create a confrontation. This is about brain dead in my opinion!
